Happy Spring
Its that time of year again. Dust off the rods and reels and hit the creeks and canals. Small stripers and weakfish are moving around and starting to feed. The bunker and other baitfish have been spotted around the bays.
The grander picture is that the keeper bass and large bluefish are in Jamica Bay as of yesterday (4/24) so they should be moving down the beach in about 1 to 2 weeks.
Keeper size fluke and porgies are already being caught in the Shinnecock Canal. fluke opens May 4 and porgy May 1.
The store is fully stocked for the fluke opener as well as porgies and stripers.
The repair shop is starting to fill up, so get your gear in early before its to late.
