Blues! Blues! Blues!
The reports are coming in from Moriches inlet to Shinnecock. The bluefish have finally made their showing on the east end and good sized ones too. The fluke bite has turned on in Shinnecock bay as well as weakfish. The Shinnecock canal is producing some good sized stripers at night. Small rubber baits are doing well here. The porgy bite in the Peconic is awesome. In and around Robins island and up near Jessups neck seem to be the better bite. The greenlawns off Shelter island is producing some quality fluke along with some porgies and weakfish mixed in there as well. The stripers are showing in the inlet in the early morning with the outgoing tide. Bucktails are doing the job there. The shores around Sag Harbor have some nice stripers too. Top water poppers have been the ticket there.
